Paradise Performing Arts Center

The longest-serving cultural attraction in the Bronx, the historic 1929 Loew’s Paradise movie palace, is being renewed and reimagined to reopen in 2026 as The Paradise Performing Arts Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, which will help transform both a landmark theater and its neighborhood and deliver world-class arts to New York City’s most culturally-underserved borough.

97 years in the making, The Paradise Performing Arts Center is the second largest theater in New York City after Radio City Music Hall and now has a new, updated mission: to present a range of artistic voices that mirror the community and expand access to the arts to the widest possible audience.

Performing Arts In The Bronx

The inaugural season of programming will include a curated series of concerts, stand-up comedy, live shows, dance, and film. Presenting performing arts in the heart of the Bronx will be a spectacular achievement of urban renewal that will help profoundly revitalize the community. Local impact will be felt in countless ways from cultivating and presenting talent and audiences to featuring local concessions to generating employment to facilitating arts education.
